From a Broken Path to a Renewed Life in Christ
Justin A. Jacobsen: A Journey of Faith, Redemption & Purpose
Justin A. Jacobsen was raised in a family grounded in faith and a firm foundation in Christ. Like many people, however, his journey did not follow a straight path.
During his younger years, anger, loss, the wrong influences, and poor decisions eventually led him to prison. What seemed like one of the darkest chapters of his life became a turning point.
While incarcerated, Justin began reading to pass the time. After working through the books available to him, a Catholic priest gave him a Bible. Justin read it from cover to cover and began seeing his life differently. He realized that many of the struggles, emotions, and choices he faced were not new and that God’s direction for his life was very different from what he had previously followed.
That experience strengthened his faith and helped rebuild his relationship with his family.
Today, Justin uses the lessons from his journey to encourage others to grow in faith, maturity, and purpose. He has worked with young people, led Bible studies and youth groups, and sought to help others move away from destructive paths toward lives of meaning and responsibility.
Justin believes our past does not have to define our future. Instead, the lessons we learn from it can help shape who we become.
